Accommodation and Living Costs
CBS International Business School has several modern campuses in Germany – main one in Cologne (Rodenkirchen, on the Rhine bank, with green surroundings and excellent connectivity), then in Mainz (near Frankfurt), Potsdam (near Berlin), and smaller locations (Aachen, Brühl, Neuss, Solingen). Campuses are equipped with modern classrooms, libraries, IT centers, study rooms, and group work spaces – ideal for interactive teaching with case studies and projects.
Accommodation:
CBS does not have its own large dorms on all campuses, but actively assists through the Accommodation Office – will reserve quotas in student residences (e.g., SMARTments in Cologne), collaborates with Kölner Studierendenwerk (in Cologne), and connects students via Facebook group or partners. Options include single/double rooms in residences, shared apartments, or private apartments. In Cologne, there is also its own smaller residence near the Südstadt district (fully furnished, communal areas, garden).
Food:
On campuses (especially in Cologne) there is a cafeteria/canteen with fresh meals – breakfast, lunch, snacks, desserts, and coffee at student prices (partner Schlößer’s Catering). Surroundings of the campus are full of cafes, restaurants, and markets – easy for a quick meal or socializing.

Enrollment Dates and Scholarships
CBS International Business School operates on a rolling admission system – applications are accepted throughout the year, without strict final deadlines. Main intakes are:
-
Autumn semester (start October) – recommended application by June–July (for non-EU students earlier, due to visa)
-
Spring semester (start March/April) – recommended application by December–January
For students outside the EU, apply at least 3–4 months in advance due to the German student visa process (can take 6–12 weeks).
Early bird and recommendation: The earlier the application, the better the chances for a spot, accommodation, and scholarship. CBS recommends applying 6–12 months before the desired start.
Scholarships and relief: CBS offers several types of scholarships for international students:
-
Merit-based scholarships – based on academic performance (grades, motivation letter, CV) – discounts from 10% to 30% on tuition
-
Diversity scholarships – for students from certain regions or with special profiles
-
Financial need-based – based on financial situation
-
Early bird discounts – additional discount for early applications
